About Avery Rental
Erle E. Faust, Sr., founder (along with his wife Joyce) of Avery Rental, used to come to a gas station at this location, to get newspapers as a kid. Erle worked for a number of business with one being a rental company in Omaha. He liked the equipment rental business and loved working with people.
Faust bought property at the current location and built the business in June of 1962.
In 1992, Erle’s son’s Wayne and Erle, Jr. bought the business. Erle Faust, Jr., left the business in 1993 with Wayne and his wife Carolyn assuming full ownership of the business. Today, Wayne and Carolyn’s sons, Clint and Sage, have joined in running Avery Rentals.
A lot has changed in the 50+ years of Avery Rental – neighbors, tools, technology – and the business continues to serve Bellevue and the Greater Omaha area by expanding its rental inventory and adding truck rentals for local and long distance moving.
The Avery area, while never incorporated received it name from the Avery Brothers feedlot, at one time it was the largest cattle feedlot in the world. Today, Bellevue West High School is located on the former Avery Brothers Feedlot. There still is Avery Church, Avery Elementary School, Avery Road, and of course Avery Rental to keep the area named, “Avery.”
